Essential Oils for The Wellbeing of Horses !!

Essential oils, known as nature’s living energy, are the natural, aromatic volatile liquids found in shrubs, flowers, trees, roots, bushes, and seeds.

The distinctive components in essential oils defend plants against insects, environmental conditions, and disease.

They are also vital for a plant to grow, live, evolve, and adapt to its surroundings.

Essential oils are extracted from aromatic plant sources via steam distillation, and are highly concentrated and far more potent than dry herbs.

Historically, essential oils have played a prominent role in everyday life. With more than 200 references to aromatics, incense, and ointments throughout the Bible, essential oils are said to be used for anointing and healing the sick. Today, essential oils are used for aromatherapy, massage therapy, emotional wellness, personal care, nurtritional supplements.

Yes my horses are no longer oil virgins.  Last night when I got home I just had to try the oils on some of my horses. They stood there in their day yards no halters and enjoyed the Valor, Peace & Calming (the confused 3 yr geld), thieves, panaway and peppermint. Every horse got something a little different.

I noticed how the horses at the workshop were not attracted to the peace & calming, while smartie was happy to have some orally and he selected that himself. Amazing creatures. Alot has to be said for self selection, I believe that will allow us to treat problems more pro active, if we listen to our horses and honour their requests as well as treat the issues.

My dogs love the oils as well. Freckles our little old foxy x, has a small tumor on his leg, he chewed one off and heal now another has grown in a different place. I applied Frankensence and Thieves to him last night. He then decided to hope into bed with me. First time in a loooongggg long time. Cuddle up right next to me and stayed there all night.
Man THANK YOU so much for introducing me to the amazing world of oils!!!!!
Warmest Regards
Julieannn
